Michael Erin also serves as vice president of development for The Economic Club of Las Vegas, a nonprofit that promotes discussion of economics and public policy.

Since launching in 2013, The Economic Club of Las Vegas has been providing a forum for thought leaders representing business, politics, economics, government, and academia. The list of speakers who have previously addressed the Economic Club includes former presidential candidates Martin O’Malley and Rand Paul, as well as former United States Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. Other notable speakers have included nonprofit leaders and chief economists from universities, corporations, and other organizations.
Currently, the club is preparing to host a presentation from James Kirchick, a journalist and author of the 2017 book The End of Europe: Dictators, Demagogues and the Coming Dark Age. The book examines tensions currently threatening the longstanding postwar consensus among European countries. Kirchick will discuss the book as well as other issues when he addresses the club on March 26, 2018. For more information about the event and other upcoming activities, visit www.econclublv.org.
